BIRCHBOX

So today I decided, after researching into the different beauty subscription boxes that are available, to sign up to website Birchbox. If you're unsure what a monthly beauty box is, it is basically a box filled with samples of different products for you to try and test before buying the real thing, it allows you to experiment with new brands you perhaps wouldn't have tried without it breaking the bank! With websites such as Birchbox it allows you to create an online profile so that you can get catered samples for you. I looked at various blogs and used this link to help me decide which beauty box would be best for me. I felt that Birchbox would be the best box for me as it retails at £12.95 including postage and comes in the cutest box ever. It also features well known brands including Benefit, one of my favourites, where products are costly.

However, what made signing up even better was the promo code that I managed to find when browsing Facebook.

This promo code allows for you to choose a free Birchbox alongside the Birchbox you pay for when you sign up. THAT MEANS YOU PAY FOR ONE BIRCHBOX AND GET ANOTHER COMPLETELY FREE!

I can't wait for my box to arrive and will be reviewing it once it comes, I would also like to try competing box Glossybox after also reading some good reviews about that. Leave a comment if you suggest any other beauty box brands or are already receiving Birchbox!

Muji vs Osco

So, as my collection of makeup is ever expanding recently, I have been looking into investing into some acrylic drawers. In case you're wondering, I'm talking about the acrylic drawers which were first seen on the Kardashians and have seen been a hit with makeup hoarders.

However, I cannot decide between the Muji brand or the Osco brand. First I'll look at the Muji brand.

This is the 5 drawer Muji storage which retails at £24.99 plus postage, the drawer is described as

'A versatile box with five pull out drawers that can be used to store items such as make-up, stationery, haberdashery items and jewellery.Dimensions: W: 26cm x H: 16cm x D: 17.5cmInternal drawer height 2.5cmCo-ordinating jewellery trays are available to purchase separately.'

I love this style of drawers and think that the 5 drawers could hold a large amount of makeup however a part of me thinks that £24.99 is a large amount of money to pay for storage and would I actually fill the 5 drawers? This then led me on to researching an alternate brand, Osco. Osco do a selection of acrylic storage which can be found at stores such as Staples and Rymans, and also on Amazon and eBay for slightly cheaper. The drawers which I looked at from Osco were the 2 drawer.

This is the Osco drawer which retails at £11.99 and is described as 'This Osco 3 Drawer chest is ideal for storing business cards or stationery neatly and securely.

The Osco Acrylic 3 drawer desk top filing unit is ideal for the desktop for storing small items such as business cards. It has three draws.

Its accessible storage for students and those at home who wish to keep bills and stationery in an organised fashion.'

I love the Osco drawer which is a fraction of the Muji price, however it concerns me how small the Osco drawers are with them being described as only being 'H110xW165xD120mm'. This is a lot less storage than the Muji drawers and would therefore result in me most likely having to purchase two of the Osco drawers, making the total price of them being £23.98.

I am still looking into alternate acrylic storage but will most likely end up investing in the Muji drawers!

All comments are appreciated, would love to know if you have acrylic drawers and if so which ones. All links can be provided for the items mentioned.
